Spindledrive-Cross Table LPKF XY 60/60 GS
General description
The LPKF XY 60/60 GS is a precision positioning system with air bearings and a monolithic granite sub-structure. It is driven via recirculating ball-screw spindles by DC servomotors. Guidance is by means of air bearings along high-precision granite paths. The object carrier is directly guided in two dimensions in the plane, and thus avoids the typical tilt and pitch errors of serially arranged drive axes. Each axis has a high-resolution linear scale with an exact reference point.This table variant is also available as a system with linear motor for high dynamic applications.

The LPKF XY 60/60 GL table version with a linear motor achieves significantly higher dynamic rigidity and accuracy because it does not have elastic transmission elements (spindles).
