LPKF motion.net

motion.net™ – the new control concept from LPKF is based on interconnecting compact motor controllers by high performance communication channels. Mounting the controller units directly in the machine reduces the amount of wiring and significantly increases reliability. The first generation of motion.net™ controllers (SMCU II and DAC1005) is inter-linked by the CAN bus. Up to five axes can be highly synchronously controlled by a combination of one SMCU II with up to 3 DAC1005s. Future controllers will support not only the CAN bus but also real-time Ethernet.
